Naloxone Advanced Trainers 

For experienced trainers to deliver the Training for Trainers course within their local area and across organisations, helping to build local capacity. The course will focus on adult learning principles and naloxone awareness. 

Course objectives:  

• Enhance participants’ understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply them effectively when delivering naloxone training 

• Build confidence and competence in delivering naloxone awareness sessions, including overdose prevention and intervention strategies 

• Support the development of local training capacity by enabling participants to cascade high-quality naloxone training within their own organisations and communities 

Specialist Level:  The specialist level specifies the practice-specific knowledge and skills expected of leaders or those delivering specialist care to those affected by substance use. The specialist levels apply to those in roles where the postholder is leading, guiding, supporting, or educating colleagues; and to those influencing the strategic direction of an organisation.
