Drugs and Bugs – An Introduction to Bacterial Infection Outbreaks

This facilitator led course will provide an overview of bacterial infection and various outbreaks, exploring harm reducing information relevant to bacterial infections.  

Course objectives:  

• ​Have increased knowledge in the area of bacterial infection ​ 

• Have increased confidence to deliver harm reduction information to people who use drugs ​ 

• Be able to recognise symptoms of infection and respond effectively​ 

Informed Level: The informed level specifies the baseline practice-specific knowledge and skills every worker in the drugs and alcohol sector should be developing upon entering employment.
