Cannabis Awareness

This facilitator led course aims to allow participants to understand how to effectively respond to and engage with individuals who use cannabis/synthetic cannabinoids. 

Course objectives:  

• Give an overview of the current trends with cannabis including synthetic cannabinoids  

• Recall the main effects and side effects of cannabis  

• Identify the typical presenting issues for problematic cannabis use  

• Recall effective techniques for working with cannabis users including harm reduction  

Informed Level:  The informed level specifies the baseline practice-specific knowledge and skills every worker in the drugs and alcohol sector should be developing upon entering employment.
