Cocaine Awareness (e-Learning)
Did you know that cocaine use is increasing in Scotland? This substance is widely available and easy to access. Sadly, deaths where cocaine has been implicated are on the rise.
People who use cocaine are not as likely to come to treatment services. That means you have an opportunity, especially if you are working in mental health services or other surrounding treatment services, to provide vital harm reduction information. By completing this course, you will learn that important, and potentially, life-saving information.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Define what cocaine is and how it affects the brain
- Understand the various forms, effects, and risks of cocaine, as well as poly-drug use
- Have an awareness of how to support someone who is using cocaine
