DESCRIPTION:Developed and delivered by SDF\, funded by Glasgow HSCP & ADP \n\n\n\nThis course is only available to those who work in Glasgow City.  If you are outwith this area please see our Training Calendar for available courses. \n\n\n\n\n\nThis facilitator led course aims to increase knowledge and awareness of key issues relating to alcohol use in Scotland.  \n\n\n\nCourse objectives:   \n\n\n\n\nRecall the prevalence of alcohol use in Scotland ​  \n\n\n\n\n\nRecall the unit content for common drinks\, and low risk drinking guidelines ​  \n\n\n\n\n\nIdentify a range of reasons why people use alcohol   \n\n\n\n\n\nRecall the effects and costs of alcohol use associated with different patterns of drinking ​  \n\n\n\n\n\nRecall key resources and support services available to reduce alcohol related harm ​  \n\n\n\n\nInformed Level: The informed level specifies the baseline practice-specific knowledge and skills every worker in the drugs and alcohol sector should be developing upon entering employment.  \n\n\n\n\n\nPlease do not book training on another person’s behalf\, each learner should set up their own account on the SDF Learning Centre to book their own training. This allows the learner to track their own learning progress and receive certificates on completion of training for their CPD records.
