The Bronze Badge is a beginner-level training programme for those looking to start or refresh their skills in Motivational Interviewing (MI).
By the end of the training, you will be able to:
• Describe what Motivational Interviewing is.
• Discuss how Motivational Interviewing can be used to support motivation for change.
• Discuss whether Motivational Interviewing could be used in own work setting.
Skilled Level: The skilled level specifies the practice-specific knowledge and skills expected of practitioners who have direct or substantial contact and responsibility for people affected by substance use, and who are responsible for direct care or treatment of people affected by substance use. The ‘skilled’ level would typically apply to those in roles where there is responsibility for planning and delivery of support, care, or treatment.
Please do not book training on another person’s behalf, each learner should set up their own account on the SDF Learning Centre to book their own training. This allows the learner to track their own learning progress and receive certificates on completion of training for their CPD records.
